Mrs. Marianne Elsar (Marian) Crowder is among one of Perry-Mansfield's first alumni. While living in Colorado Springs as a teenager, a friend sent her to Perry-Mansfield where she subsequently earned scholarships to attend and later taught dance. She went on to have a career as a dance teacher with more than 300 students a year and also spent time teaching at Stanford University. Now 103 years-old, Mrs. Crowder is retired and living in Palo Alto, California.
Jessica Lang (Dance) will premiere her work Crossed for The Joffrey Ballet for their Eclectica performance series at the Auditorium Theater in Chicago. Read Jessica's latest newsletter here .

Ronald Belcher received his Ailey Fordham BFA and joined Columbia City Ballet in South Carolina.
Lydia Bittner-Baird graduated from The Juilliard School and is participating in a nine-month project in Miami under the direction of Yara Travieso.
Sam Black received his BFA from Purchase College and was an original member of Take Dance Company from the Perry-Mansfield New Works Festival and now dances with Mark Morris.
Eric Bourne toured with Twyla Tharp’s dance musical Movin’ Out and has been dancing with Parsons Dance Company for the last several years.
Esme Boyce is dancing in the Reverb Festival in NYC in fall 2009.
William Briscoe has participated in several projects with Mikhail Baryshnikov and Aszure Barton and recently joined Sean Curran’s company. He is teaching at LaGuardia High School (known as the “Fame” school). William also has a piece in the 2009 Contemporary Dance Festival this November in Manhattan.
Jamal Callender received a BFA from the The Juilliard School and is an Apprentice with the Atlanta Ballet.
Elisa Clark (dance) received a Princess Grace Award in 2008. She performed with Robert Battle’s company, BattleWorks for several years and is now dancing with the Mark Morris Dance Group.
Brandon Colwes has been a featured dancer with the Merce Cunningham Dance Company for the last several years.
Elise Drew was chosen for Perry-Mansfield New Works Festival with Take Dance Company and continued dancing with them until fall of ’08 when she joined La Luna Negra Dance Company in Chicago.
Kyra Greene is performing with Kas Public in Montreal.
Rodney Hamilton is currently the senior male dancer at Ballet Hispanico. He will be featured in several new pieces in their Joyce Theatre season in December 2009.
Kristina Hanna performed with Darrell Grand Moultrie in the Perry-Mansfield New Works Festival. She recently received a BFA from The Juilliard School and has joined Larry Keigwin and Dancers.
Kait Kerrigan (New Works Festival, Theatre) won the19th annual Kleban Awards for most promising musical theatre librettist. New Dramatists administers the awards on behalf of the Kleban Foundation, created by late lyricist Edward Kleban, who wrote the lyrics to A Chorus Line.
Gelan Lambert, a graduate of The Juilliard School with a BFA in dance, is currently performing in Fela! on Broadway.
Kelly Marsh is an apprentice with the Ailey II Company.
Brian Moore is teaching at the Center of Creative Arts (COCA) in St. Louis, MO through their community outreach program, Urban Arts. He is a recent graduate of SUNY-Purchase with a degree in dance performance.
Erin Moore is a freelance dancer training with Koresh Dance Company in Philadelphia. Previously, she danced with Philadanco. Erin graduated in May 2006 from the Ailey/Fordham BFA program in dance with a minor in political science.
Brynna Pascoe danced with Fondazione Nazionale della Danza Aterballetto from 2006 to 2009. Currently she is performing with Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montréal.
Miriam Pensack, a freshman at Columbia University in New York, played Damis in the all-female cast of Tartuffe this fall.
Chamel Pitts spent two years with Le Ballet Jazz de Montreal and is currently with the Batsheva Dance Company in Tel Aviv.
Emily Stockdale (Sally Bowles), Meggan Herod (Ensemble), and Maisie Salinger (Schneider understudy) will be performing in Pace University’s production of Cabaret December 2-6, 2009.
Tiffany Vann is a member of Hubbard Street Dance Company in Chicago.
Amy Young has been dancing with Taylor II and The Paul Taylor Dance Company since 1997. She is also an original member of Take Dance Company.
