1 WEEK EQUESTRIAN CAMP
For students ages 13-16
Sunday, August 10 - Saturday, August 16
In the tradition of Charlotte Perry and Portia Mansfield,
the Equestrian program continues to enrich the summer students and
provide them with quality instruction in the disciplines of dressage,
cross-country, and stadium jumping. Exhilarating trail rides on
the surrounding mountainsides enhance the experience. Students are
encouraged to take responsibility for the care and maintenance of
their favorite horses, which develops the special relationship necessary
to excel in the sport and art of equestrian disciplines. Afternoon
activities will alternate between semi-private riding lessons and
traditional camp activities, such as aart projects, hiking and local
field trips.
Equestrian students reside in a dormitory on campus.
Equestrian campers present a showcase on Saturday morning prior
to departure. Equestrian students have a pre-set curriculum and
do not register for classes. Note: In the case of inclement weather,
we will substitute other camp activities for riding.
